Christopher Gonzalez
Fine ArtCHRISTOPHER GONZALEZ graduated from the Jamaica School of Art (now the Edna Manley School for the Visual arts) in 1963, where he majored in sculpture. He subsequently studied at the California College of Arts and Crafts where he was awarded the Master of Fine Arts Degree. His teaching career which spans over two decades led him to many colleges in Jamaica, California and Atlanta,Georgia.
He has had major commissions from the Government of Jamaica which can be seen at the Bank of Jamaica, The Jamaica National Heroes' Memorial, the Prime Minister's residence and the National Gallery of Jamaica. Other special sculpture commissions from the Government of Jamaica include a 30"x24" copper relief - a gift for the Cuban people in 1977, the Bob Marley Memorial Sculpture - an 8' full figure bronze in 1982, now in the National Gallery and a hammered copper piece entitled "Father and Child", presented to the President of Mexico in 1993 from the Government of Jamaica.
The works of Gonzalez now form part of many private and coporate collections in Jamaica, Europe and the United States of America. Since 1971 he has had numerous solo and group shows in Jamaica, England, Germany, Denmark, Canada, Cuba, Mexico and several cities throughout the United States. He won first prize for the sculpture in the Jamaica Fine Arts Festival Competition in 1965 and was awarded the prestigious Jamaican Silver Musgrave Medal in 1974. He was invited to be Artist in Residence at theFolk Herning High School in Yutland, Denmark, between 1965 and 1966 and also at the Spelman College, atlanta, Georgia between 1979 and 1980. Robert Armstrong
Fine Art Robert Armstrong is one of Jamaica's top rising talent's studied at the School of Art he is set to be one of Jamaica's top artist's receiving much recognition by the Jamaican Government in the past few years. His works have been commisioned for presentation by Jamaica to many foreign nationals.He has received many awards and honours among them are two bronze and a silver from Jamaica National Fine Arts Exhibition.

Albert Artwell
Folk Art Born on October 23 1942 in Catadupa, Jamaica. Artwell, a visionary, was first inspired to "illustrate" in a marvellously decorative calligraphy, various passages from the Scriptures. Later, he began painting, usually religious scenes. His work is marked by a clear, concise imagery in fresh, flatly painted colours. Artwell's work has been exhibited all over the world, including the 1979 World Naive Exhibition at Hamiltons, London; the 1983 Smithsonian Institute's Travelling Exhibition; in 1984 at the Waggoner Gallery in Chicago; in 1985 at the Suti Gallery in Switzerland. Emerging Artist Born Hanover 1955 self taught artist.Lynval Whitelocke has been painting from his youth days on virtualy any material he could find. In his mid 20's found Rasta-Fari and then discovered self awareness and painting as his way to cultually express himself.He received the Bronze award in the 1991 JCDC festival exhibition and has been involved with exhibitions at the "BOB MARLEY MUSEUM" "BUFFALO SOLDIERS" exhibition and at "CARRIFEST".

Hampton Olfus Jr.
Fine Art Born a Washingtonian, Hampton R. Olfus, Jr. creates works of art that are direct links to African, Native American and European styles. Olfus works in acrylics, pen and ink, pencil, watercolor, and mixed media; the pieces are very detailed and are, in many cases, reminiscent of fine sculpture. . Travels to Europe in the late 90’s allowed him to expose himself to many galleries and museums helping to develop his own style.
