" MINIATURES " By Featured Artists' - February 5th -March 26th 2006 @Reception Sunday February 12th @ 4-8pm 2006
JA JA ORIGINALS located @ Coco La Palm Negril
A first for the gallery and potentially what could become
a annuall event an exhibition of the featured artists
of the
gallery all producing works of 5"x7" or
smaller. The show
titled "MINIATURES" will exhibit
works by Christopher
Gonzalez, Guggi Palache,
Hampton Olfus Jr., Lionel O
Spence, Lynval
Whitelocke and Rick Kevonian. The
exhibition should
prove to be a very interesting one with
many mixes
of levels and styles of art form and all of the
artists
will be working to bring their best. The Reception
on
February 12th @ 4-8pm should be very interesting
with a full collection of artists and the visitors who
have
been coming to the reception's that time of
year.

“IDEAL IMPRESSIONS”
LIONEL O SPENCE
This year the JA JA ORIGINALS Art Gallery of Negril proudly
begins the exhibition year with an exhibit by one of
the
upcoming artists’ the gallery has been
promoting over the
years’ LIONEL O SPENCE.
Several years ago this artist had
decided to dedicate
his talent toward a career in art, now
four group
shows and several encouraging sales later
including
a piece to a member of the UN (United Nation’s)
this
young self taught artist’s career is beginning to take
flight. So to begin the JA JA ORIGINALS exhibition
season
this year Lionel has been granted the
opening position for
his first solo exhibition titled
“IDEAL IMPRESSIONS”.
This exhibition consists
of a number of Lionel’s works in
both his
impressionistic scenes and ideal abstracts, over
the
past few years the development of the abstract pieces’
with the attached small canvas board pieces and
other
additions to his palette and his sceneries has
been
impressive many of these new works will be on
display at
the exhibit. Having exhibited in four
different group
shows including two with the JCDC
and this year receiving
his first certificate of merit
for his piece titled “ART OF
WAR” and his
involvement in two shows with JA JA
Originals
Gallery in Negril Lionel has been exposed to and
has
experienced what is needed for a young artist
developing a career needs.

This year JA JA O4riginals Galllery founder RICK KEVONIAN is
presenting "UNTITLED EXPRESSIONISM" an exhibit of Ricks
own unusual mixed media pieces and paintings.The artist is
really looking forward to hosting the second of his own
exhibits on the Negril area.
